Aruna Mithlesh Foundation (AMF) is in a phase of rapid growth, now operating 12 thriving community libraries—with several more slated to open—and preparing to roll out a mobile library that will deliver books and learning resources to the most remote villages. The flagship Bansa Community Library serves as both an initiative and a replicable model for AMF’s expanding library network, demonstrating how inclusive, community-run spaces can transform rural education. AMF’s momentum is further fueled by its incubation at IIM Bangalore’s NSRCEL Impact Orbit—Tech-Enabled Social Innovations Cohort 5, a prestigious program that equips high-potential social enterprises with mentorship, resources, and strategic guidance. Together, these milestones underscore AMF’s commitment to scaling education, health, and livelihood opportunities across rural India.
Aruna Mithlesh Foundation (AMF) is dedicated to transforming rural India by enhancing literacy, healthcare, education, and livelihoods through inclusive, community-driven initiatives. With a strong focus on equity and empowerment, AMF works to bridge the gap between opportunity and access, fostering sustainable development and lifelong learning.
At its core, AMF envisions a future where every individual—regardless of socio-economic background—has the opportunity to unlock their full potential. In the realm of education, the foundation drives innovative programs and grassroots interventions to improve literacy, promote lifelong learning, and establish inclusive educational ecosystems. This includes building schools, libraries, educational resource centers, skill centers, and opportunity labs across underserved regions.
Recognizing the intrinsic link between education, health, and livelihood, AMF also focuses on improving rural healthcare access and awareness. From organizing medical camps to facilitating essential health services, the foundation addresses systemic barriers that limit well-being and growth.
Livelihood enhancement is a cornerstone of AMF’s mission. By offering vocational training, skill development, and community empowerment programs, AMF equips individuals—especially youth and women—with the tools needed to achieve financial independence and lead dignified lives.
Rooted in collaboration, innovation, and advocacy, AMF partners with stakeholders and leverages digital technologies to amplify its impact and expand its reach. Together, we strive to build resilient communities where opportunity is accessible to all.
